The Client
Prothya Biosolutions was formed in 2021 when Plasma Industries Belgium integrated with Sanquin Plasma Products, a former subsidiary of the Sanquin Blood Supply Foundation.
Prothya Biosolutions brought together more than 60 years of experience in the collection of blood plasma and the production of plasma-derived medicinal products, building on a strong legacy of collaboration, innovation, and delivery of science-based healthcare solutions.
With its diverse heritage, Prothya recognised the unique value of plasma-derived medicinal products for patients and society and reflected this through its transformation into a results-driven, globally focused organisation.
The company utilised advanced methods to isolate proteins from blood plasma and transform them into life-saving medicines. Prothya manufactured plasma-derived medicinal products under its own brand for use in immunology and critical care, while also making its expertise and infrastructure available to strategic partners worldwide.
