Something has changed at Impel.
Actually, quite a lot has.
Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to rethink how people experience Impel online. Not simply how things look, but how easily you can find what you need, understand how we can support you and continue developing long after your first interaction with us.
The result is a completely renovated Impel Talent website, a more connected digital experience and one of our biggest changes yet:

More than a new look
A website renovation is easy to describe as a visual change. New layouts, new pages, new imagery.
But for us, that was only part of the story.
We wanted the new Impel Talent website to work better for the people actually using it. That meant going back to the journey itself and thinking carefully about how people discover Impel, how quickly they can understand what we do and how easily they can find the solution, insight or opportunity that is relevant to them.
We reconsidered the structure, simplified the experience and brought our work across Leadership Development and Talent Acquisition together more clearly.
The goal was simple: less friction, more clarity.
Our solutions, thinking, people and platforms now sit within a more connected experience that better reflects who Impel is today and where we are heading next.
Because a website should not make you work hard to understand the organisation behind it.
And that same thinking around accessibility and simplicity naturally led us to Impel Connect.
Impel Connect is now free
Yes, really.
Impel Connect was created as a space where development does not have to stop when a workshop finishes, a programme ends or a coaching conversation wraps up.
It brings together learning, community, practical resources and continued development in one place.
Over time, one question kept coming back to us:
How do we make more of this accessible to more people?
Nathaniel and Terentia spent months exploring how Impel Connect could better support the candidates we work with, delegates we’ve previously supported and organisations across the wider Impel community.
The answer was to open it up.
Today, you can join Impel Connect for free and access the platform through your phone, desktop or browser, giving you more freedom to learn and connect in a way that works for you.
And if you want to take things further, one-to-one coaching, cohorts and selected programmes remain available separately.

Mastering Your Interview
Interviews have a strange ability to make perfectly capable people suddenly forget how to explain things they have been doing successfully for years.
Mastering Your Interview is designed to change that.
Instead of approaching an interview as a script to memorise, the course helps you understand the questions behind the questions.
Can you do the job?
Do you want the job?
What value will you bring?
Those three questions sit at the heart of most interviews.
From there, the course explores how to prepare with purpose, understand what hiring managers are really trying to assess, communicate your motivation and demonstrate the value you bring with greater confidence.
Because preparation matters.

Storytelling is.
One of the practical tools explored in the course is the STAR-L method, which helps you give your experiences a clear structure:
- Situation: set the context
- Task: explain what needed to happen
- Action: show what you did
- Results: demonstrate the outcome
- Learnings: reflect on what the experience taught you
STAR-L is not about making every answer sound rehearsed. It is a storytelling tool designed to help you move beyond simply claiming that you have a particular skill and instead demonstrate it through experience, evidence and results.
The aim is to help you walk into your next interview with more confidence, stronger structure and practical tools you can actually use when the next opportunity comes around.

Emotional intelligence is your ability to recognise and understand emotions, both your own and other people’s, and use that awareness to guide how you think, decide and act.
The course develops that capability across four foundations:
- Self-awareness: recognising what is happening inside you and how it affects the way you think, respond and show up
- Self-management: creating space between what you feel and what you choose to do next
- Social awareness: reading people, noticing what may not be said out loud and understanding the dynamics around you
